Anti cellulite body scrubs
Here’s a very quick and easy homemade cellulite treatment you can do at home any time using coffee! When most people develop cellulite, they turn to “miracle” creams and lotions which not only are outrageously expensive, they are also packed with chemicals and toxins – toxins which are one of the most common causes of cellulite in the first place!
Homemade anti cellulite body scrubs
Caffeine is one of the most used anti cellulite ingredients, both homemade and commercially sold. The first two cellulite scrubs aren't probably something new to you, but the fight against cellulite can easily be done with some other effective anti cellulite ingredients that you might read about on anti cellulite cream labels. So why spend your money on some expensive anti cellulite scrub when you can make your own body scrub at home?
Make sure you thoroughly rinse out your shower/tub though when you are done as coffee can darken them.
1. Coffee Cellulite Scrub
1/2 cup coffee grounds 1/4 cup brown sugar olive oil
2. Oatmeal and Coffee Scrub
Take 1/2 cup steamed oatmeal, 2 teaspoons salt, 2 teaspoons ground coffee, 5-6 drops of essential oil of orange, 3-4 drops of rosemary essential oil and 2-3 drops of cinnamon oil. Stir the mixture and apply on the trouble spots. Do the massage for 5-10 minutes. Then wash with warm water and then rinse with lukewarm. Do not forget to moisturize your skin after treatment with cleansing cream or milk.
3. Coffee and Coconut Scrub
Take 1/2 Cup Extra Virgin Coconut Oil in a bowl and heat it in a double boiler, stirring slowly until it melts completely. Keep it aside to cool but not solidify. Once it cools a bit add 1 Cup Ground Coffee, 1 Cup Sugar and 1/2 Tablespoon Cinnamon in it. Mix all ingredients together and store in an airtight container. Use 1-2 times a week (or everyday if you like). The coffee and sugar will exfoliate your skin and the coconut oil will leave your skin soft and moisturized.
4. Brown Sugar and Sea Salt Scrub
Take 1 cup brown sugar (to gently exfoliate without drying), 1 cup sea salt, 2 tablespoons of olive oil or sesame oil (to moisturize your skin), 2 tablespoons of vanilla extract, 2 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon and 2 tablespoon honey in a bowl and mix well. Store this scrub in an airtight glass jar. Apply the scrub directly to your wet or damp skin and rub it in circular motions with your fingers, or use a washcloth or loofah. Leave on your skin for about 5 minutes and then rinse off with cold water.
5. Corn Oil Treatment
Mix a cup of corn oil with 1/2 cup of grapefruit juice and 2 teaspoons dried thyme. Massage into hip, thigh, and buttock areas. Cover with plastic wrap to lock in body heat. For extra results lay a heating pad over each area for five minutes. Cellulite does not appear or go away in one day, you need patience and perseverance to treat this problem.
