Some of your daily habits are the cause of cellulite
Yes, we've all tried them, some of us successfully and some of us without any sort of positive outcome, but we must admit that we are addicted to them. What am I talking about? Anti cellulite treatments, anti cellulite creams, lotions and anti cellulite wraps that promise to rid of cellulite for good. We've also went to the gym on almost a daily basis and probably haven't seen any results.
So, what gives? Why can't we remove cellulite even if we've tried every cellulite solution and anti cellulite remedy out there? The answer might just be easier than we thought: our daily habits are preventing us from getting rid of that cottage peel look of the skin.
What daily habits destroy our healthy skin and cause cellulite
Let's take a look at some of the causes of cellulite that could play an important role in the appearance of cellulite.
Smoking affects your skin and causes cellulite
As if I needed to give you any more evidence that smoking is bad for your system, I'm going to mention that: women who smoke are more prone to cellulite than non smokers. Smoking drastically reduces oxygenation of the whole body, instead of the much needed oxygen, the tissues are bombarded with toxins in cigarette smoke that worsens the appearance of orange peel.
Drinking too much coffee might be a cellulite cause
Coffee has a lot of benefits, not just coffee grounds, even coffee itself, as a drink. The bad part starts when you drink too much coffee. If you overdo the coffee consumption, you'll be the perfect candidate for cellulite. And even if the coffee based cosmetics are usually very effective in fighting the appearance of orange peel, that does not mean that coffee in a cup is as good.
Caffeine increases the levels of cortisol, known as the stress hormone, and insulin in the body. Also, too much coffee prevents proper blood circulation and a consequence toxins remain locked in the tissues and skin. So do not drink more than two cups per day.
Tight pants might cause cellulite
It's true that tight pants give us a certain self confidence but they can also show off and even cause cellulite! But how do tight pants cause cellulite? Again, the answer is pretty clear: by slowing down circulation. Tight pants slow down blood circulation and lymphatic areas most affected by cellulite: our butts, thighs and legs. Because those areas don't get enough oxygen, and toxins are not properly removed, cellulite may increase by the day. So, try to give some days the clothes too tight.
Sitting on a chair for too long causes cellulite
I'm always trying to move around every hour because I know that sitting on my chair for too long is totally unhealthy, basically because it creates serious circulatory problems. They say you should do some sort of movement for 10 minutes every hours.
Of course we don't have the time to do that be what we can do is stretch a bit every hours in order to be healthy and prevent cellulite. You could just get out of the office and climb some stairs. You could also massage your skin a bit to prevent cellulite.
Dehydration causes cellulite
Every day you need plenty of fluids if you want to eliminate toxins from the body. The fluid retention and toxins are eliminated and thus get rid of cellulite. And when I say liquid, I mean plain water and unsweetened teas (or you could use stevia as a natural sweetener). Juices do not fall into this category, even those without acid and that claim to be all natural and organic. If you want to get rid of cellulite pour some liquids in your diet!
Junk food, especially unhealthy fats cause cellulite
The fact that fats are healthy is being validated by studies every day. What you might already know is that there's good fats and there's bad fats. The bad fats are the processed one, found in all the good stuff that you enjoy eating like sweets, ice cream, fast food , refined oils, margarine, well... you got it.
Replace them with extra virgin olive oil, corn, grape seeds, and fish, avocados, nuts that are all high in beneficial nutrients such as omega 3 and omega 6.
Eating too much salt can cause cellulite
Salt is one of the basic causes of cellulite appearance, especially because you retain a lot of water if your salt intake is high. You shouldn't remove salt for good from your diet though, because it does have its benefits. You dehydrate the body and it won't be able to remove the excess sodium. And to remove all the sodium it needs more water, so that the tissue blocks, which accentuates the appearance of orange peel.
